We offer an all-inclusive flat rate for an inventory list of what you'd like us to move, including any furniture disassembly/re-assembly, packing, or other services you request. We can also work hourly, but it's really whatever works best for you.
Generally, a local studio or 1BR apt move is in the $350-550 range, a 2BR apt is in the $550-750 range, and a 3BR is in the $750-1100 range. A live consult allows me to turn these estimate ranges into an exact quote when we review the specifics of your move. Everything is transparent and fair.
It's pretty standard. The size of your inventory, whether or not you need packing, how much furniture disassembly you'll need, and the layout of stairs or elevators at each location.
No, Dave has no hidden fees. We simply agree on an exact inventory list of what you'd like moved and you get an all-inclusive flat rate for that job. Nothing changes unless you change the scope of the job, which happens, like adding stops or additional items to move. I'll work with you and keep adjustments fair and minimal. I don't want you to ever feel ambushed.
Yes, Dave has relationships with several modern storage facilities, and can help advise you the best solution, based on your needs, budget, duration of storage, climate control or not, etc. We only charge for the moving services we provide, nothing more. You'll have a private contract directly with the storage facility, you remain in complete control.
Yes, we're happy to give you a flat rate quote for your long distance move. Long distance quotes are based on inventory and distance, are all-inclusive, and done with a dedicated truck dedicated only carrying your belongings. There are no extras or "truck charges," everything is included.
Please don't cancel. Just kidding. If a customer cancels more than 48 hours in advance, there's no cancellation charge. If they cancel less than 48 hours of the scheduled move, the initial reservation deposit, if applicable, is forfeited.
Yes. If you're a renting a truck, or using services like PODS, U-Pack, or a Uhaul U-Box, we're happy to load it up for you. Equally important, we'll explain how to prepare your possessions for transport, what size truck, and how many blankets, and what other supplies you'll need to make your journey as smooth as possible.
You certainly can, but the big upside is you'll be less tired when making your drive. Clients are often on a timed schedule when moving themselves out of state. You don't want to be too fatigued on top of that when driving. Moving your world is challenging enough. Happy to help.
The best way to is to let us give you an estimate, by reviewing what you're moving so you get the proper size truck. Then we can give you either a flat rate or the load up can be done hourly, your choice. If you want us to just load the big stuff and you finish the rest, that's fine as well.
